Why You Feel Stuck, And Why Right Now Might Be the Exact Time for the Reset You Need

new start reset Dec 01, 2025

There’s a certain kind of stuck that doesn’t look like giving up.

It looks like pushing, trying, doing… and still feeling like you’re walking through wet cement.

If you’re honest, you’re not “a little off.”

You’re deeply uncomfortable in your own life, in a way that’s getting harder to ignore.

And as the new year inches closer, something in you is whispering:

This is it. Something has to shift.

Trust that whisper. It’s not your imagination. It’s your turning point.

You’re Not Alone, A Lot of Us Are Here

I’ve been living this edge myself.

New era. New identity. New location. New work.

It’s a bizarre mix of excitement and existential nausea.

And the people I’m talking to right now?

They’re all in this same place, tired of looping, tired of pretending, tired of staying small because it feels familiar.

It's like a group awakening.

They’re ready for a reset not because it’s the end of the year… but because their soul is genuinely done being cramped.

Why We Stay Stuck Longer Than We Should

You’re not broken.

You’ve just been conditioned to prioritize comfort over aliveness.

Here’s what really keeps people stuck:

• You’ve outgrown a version of yourself you’re still trying to operate as.

• Your nervous system is clinging to the familiar because it thinks change = danger.

• You’ve been running on survival energy for so long that dreaming feels risky.

• You’re scared to want more because wanting requires honesty.

And yet… here you are.

Still searching.

Still craving a life that feels like truth instead of obligation.

That discomfort?

It’s the beginning of your reset.

I know when I get into that stuck feeling I seem to stay there for a little bit. Even though I know that when I step out of my comfort zone, there is always magic on the other side. Every time I do it, with 100% accuracy, it always turns out better. So, what keeps me stuck? Change is hard, and sometimes, I just don't have the energy or capacity for it.

What finally makes me move? The discomfort of being stuck is greater than the discomfort of the change. That's all.

Sometimes I also think that I will know when to move with divine timing. What I mean by this is sometimes we need stillness before we make changes so we can rest and have focus and clarity.

We need to know what we want to leap into.

So, stuck Isn’t a Dead End, It’s a Signal

The pressure you feel isn’t punishment.

It’s direction.

When life starts feeling too tight, too small, too repetitive, it’s because you’re being asked to move.

This new year coming up isn’t magically fixing anything, but it is a psychological reset point.

And your body recognizes it.

Winter gives us the space for change.

This is the season where people feel the tension between who they’ve been and who they’re becoming.

And tension, when you don’t numb it, becomes momentum.

A Few Questions to Sit With - Pick up your journal

• What part of your life has felt “almost right” for too long?

• Where have you been settling because the alternative feels scary?

• As we move into the winter season, if you had permission to start over, what’s the first thing you’d drop?

Next week, I’m going to show you how to move out of this holding pattern, slowly, gently, and without blowing up your whole life.

Just tiny, brave steps that reconnect you to yourself.

Stay tuned
