What if the very thing you’ve been told makes you “strong,” doing it all, all the time, is actually what’s draining you?
Hustle culture glorifies busyness like it’s the gold standard of success. But here’s the truth: being constantly exhausted isn’t a badge of honor, it’s a warning sign. And women, more than ever, are paying the price with burnout, overwhelm, and a complete disconnect from joy. I want to not just convince you to practice daily self-care but give you a path toward burnout recovery. We will explore how to reset the nervous system and start to normalize daily self-care for all women.
Women’s unpaid and unnoticed labor upholds a system that does not serve us in any way, and it's time to put ourselves first so we can choose where we direct our energy. Whether it’s ourselves or the people we love. We need to make it our choice.
How often do you say yes to things because they are socially expected? Because you're afraid of judgment? Or, you want to uphold a stereotype (The Selfless Woman Hero) that was created to suppress us as women. We were told that giving our everything to everyone else will be celebrated, but this actually stops us from stepping into our true selves and sharing that version of us with the world.
We are all very unique beings, and we are here to show up and share this version with the world. I would go as far as to say, this alone is our purpose. To show up as our authentic selves. We are all one puzzle piece that fits into the beautiful puzzle of the world. We all know how annoying it is to have a puzzle with missing pieces. So, isn’t it kinda your duty to take care of your beautiful self?
I'm not saying don’t care for your loved ones. I'm saying, this is your time and energy. You and you only decide what to do with it. Not society, not your partner, not your work. Just you. Take charge of these most precious assets or someone else will do it for you. Be intentional with the way you spend your time and who you allow into your energy field.
Today, I want to talk about how to step out of the cycle of doing it all and start building a life that feels sustainable, calm, and yes, still deeply successful.
We’ve been sold the idea that we’re supposed to carry everything. Career, family, relationships, home, health, and more. And if we can’t juggle it perfectly? We’re made to feel like failures. This is by design to make us feel like we are missing something or if we just adjust a few things, we will feel better. But we keep trying to reach this impossible place.
Instead, you need to decide what you want, and how you want to spend your time, and keep society and everyone else trying to tell you what you should want out of your business!
But one thing is for sure: exhaustion is not proof of worthiness. Doing does not equal worthiness.
The truth is:
Pushing harder comes at the cost of your body, mind, and spirit.
Chronic overwhelm doesn’t make you more accomplished, it makes you less present.
Real success isn’t about doing it all; it’s about doing what matters to you, in a way that’s sustainable.
You don’t need to prove your strength by running yourself into the ground.
Burnout isn’t weakness. It’s your body’s alarm system, flashing red and begging you to pay attention.
We need to pay attention to these signs, or we lead ourselves into a state of some sort of DIS-EASE in the body. This can show up as high blood pressure, weight gain, headaches, and exhaustion. Sometimes, it can show up as something more serious if you ignore it long enough like I did. For me, I had a stroke when I was 39. It can also show up as an autoimmune condition, heart attack, or it can fuel cancer.
None of us want these things.
Here’s the secret most people don’t realize, joy, relaxation, and ambition are not opposites. In fact, joy and rest are the fuel that keeps ambition alive without burning you out.
When your nervous system is calm:
Your focus sharpens.
Your energy rises.
Your creativity flows.
You’re more productive, if that’s what you’re looking for.
Balance isn’t about giving up on success, it’s about creating the conditions where success feels sustainable, instead of draining.
If you’ve been living in constant stress mode, your body will let you know. Here are five common signs your nervous system needs a reset:
Racing thoughts or mental fog - you can’t turn your mind off, or you can’t focus at all. Your memory sucks.
Poor sleep - tossing, turning, or waking up tired no matter how much you sleep.
Chronic fatigue - feeling like you’re running on fumes all day. You wake up tired.
Irritability or numbness - snapping quickly or feeling disconnected from life, disconnected from your body.
Physical symptoms - tension headaches, tight shoulders, upset stomach, shallow breathing, overeating.
I have to share, I had all of these things and then some. I made excuses too. Like, you’re a single mom, this is just how it is. This person can do it, so I can too. I’m young, my body can take it. Or, things will calm down soon. Do any of these sound familiar? Well, I’m here to tell you, they’re all bullshit. Once again you are a unique being and you feel the way you feel. This cannot be compared to others. PAY ATTENTION to what your body and soul are telling you.
The good news? Your nervous system isn’t broken. It can be reset with simple, consistent practices like grounding, breathwork, and small acts of daily care.
Here’s the biggest myth about self-care: that it requires hours of free time, expensive retreats, or perfect routines.
It doesn’t.
Five intentional minutes a day can change everything.
A few deep breaths send signals of safety to your body.
A short grounding walk outside can regulate your mood.
Small rituals, repeated daily, build resilience and balance.
These micro practices stack up. They’re not just “nice-to-haves.” They are rewiring your nervous system day by day, moment by moment.
I know what happens when you ignore stress signals. As I said, I had a stroke caused by stress at 39. That’s why I created this program: to help women heal their nervous systems, feel safe in their bodies again, and bring joy back into their lives.
I recently did a 5-Day Gentle Reset and it really seemed to resonate with women. This is what they wanted: something easy. They were already stressed with no time. They needed something that took up little time. Something gentle. So, I've created a program that's easy and gentle.
Here’s what makes this program different:
It’s personalized to you. You’ll complete a questionnaire so I can create a plan that fits your life.
Each week you’ll receive voice notes, journaling prompts, action steps, and somatic practices like meditation, breathwork, and grounding tools.
You’ll have access to weekly coaching hours where you can message me directly and get real-time support. No pressure to show up.
It all happens on Voxer, a private app you can use on your own schedule. You decide when.
This isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about building a self-care system that feels natural, guilt-free, and sustainable over time. It’s also doable. No huge investment, try it out for a few months and if it’s not for you, you can cancel.
👉 Founding Member price: $25/month with a 3-month minimum commitment.
