Welcome to Talia Sunday Designs

My artistic journey is a homecoming, woven from the threads of four generations of women who lived and breathed creation. I grew up at the elbow of my mother, my grandmother, and my great-grandmother, in an atmosphere rich with the smell of wet clay and the firing of the kiln, the vibrant streaks of paint, and the meticulous shaping of fabric. Creativity wasn't just an activity; it was our family language, spoken through countless collaborative projects and a shared belief in the power of making.

After years away, I find myself returning to this innate language, guided by the joyful inspiration of my own children, who approach art with the same fearless curiosity I once knew. Reconnecting with these familiar mediums sometimes feels like meeting an old friend, a warm, welcoming, and deeply fun reunion.

My current artistic focus is watercolor, a medium I had never tried but am now wholeheartedly embracing. Its fluidity and transparency perfectly capture what inspires me most: the natural world. My work is deeply rooted in the cycles of growth on Southmeadow Farm, where I cultivate garlic, herbs, and flowers, and in the enduring memory of the sea and shorelines of Long Island where I was raised.

For me, the true heart of the work is in the creative process itself, the act of bringing something new to life with heart and hands. While watercolor is my present passion, I am endlessly curious, and my path will inevitably weave through other mediums as the spirit of creation calls. Each piece is a celebration of legacy, nature, and the pure, simple joy of returning to one's roots.
